01/10/2020: Unraveling the Origins of COPD

MeiLan Han, MD, MS, presents a talk on the challenges of identifying patients with undiagnosed or "early" chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), so that we can develop targeted, disease-modifying therapies. She also spoke about the need to understand the pathogenesis and treatment of symptomatic smokers who do not have COPD.

Dr. Han is the medical director of the Women's Respiratory Health Program at the University of Michigan Health System, and an associate professor of internal medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School.
