Center of Excellence for Telehealth and Aging Elevates Remote Care for Older Adults

Now is the time to reshape the delivery of telehealth to meet the needs, values and preferences of older adults. West Health has teamed with the University of Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic Telehealth Resource Center to launch the Center of Excellence for Telehealth and Aging (https://ce4ta.matrc.org/), which provides a first-ever set of principles and guidelines to optimize the benefits of telehealth for older adults. These best practices help telehealth providers and administrators meet the needs of our aging population and their caregivers, with the goal of ensuring that telehealth is equitable, accessible, person-centered and integrated with patients’ broader care plan.
