Granada is one of the most visited cities in Spain. It has a remarkable multicultural history. The city has an amazing ambience.

Granada is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. In summer is very hot but the evenings are refreshing because of the mountain.

The city is at an average elevation of 738 m (2,421 ft) above sea level. It is one hour by car from the Mediterranean coast. Nearby is the Sierra Nevada Ski resort. The nearest airport is Federico García Lorca Granada-Jaén Airport.

The Alhambra, an ancient Nasrid castle, is located in Granada. Initially, it was a Roman fortress. It is the most renowned building of the Islamic historical legacy with its many cultural attractions and architectural elements that make Granada a popular destination.
Granada is also well known within Spain for the University of Granada which has around 82,000 students on more than five campuses.
