A political storm is brewing within Shiv Sena (UBT) as reports of a major rebellion by six Lok Sabha MPs threaten to split the party. Amid speculation that the MPs may join Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena, the Uddhav Thackeray-led faction held an emergency parliamentary meeting in New Delhi.

Senior leader Sanjay Raut announced that show-cause notices would be issued to the six MPs who skipped the meeting and warned of legal action. Raut also accused the Election Commission and Supreme Court of enabling attacks on democracy. Meanwhile, angry Shiv Sainiks in Beed staged protests and burned symbolic effigies of the absent MPs, warning of strong resistance if they visit the district.
