"What’s going on everybody, we’re on the job site right now, we have a little time so we’re going to be starting a series where you guys give us scenarios, and we tell you whether we recommend you use rubber or steel tracks.

Okay so the scenario is...

Hey guys, we’re working with a mini excavator and we’re working in an area next to a busy road and we’re pretty close to some businesses. The forecast should be sunny and we’re working on concrete. What tracks should we use?

Okay, so in this scenario, we’d definitely recommend rubber tracks. We actually had a very similar job site recently.

So we were working in a golf courses’ parking lot, dry day, on concrete and it was midday so the course was pretty busy. Because it was busy, we needed to keep the volume down to avoid interrupting the business too much. Rubber tracks in this case are amazing. They’re much quieter than steel tracks. Also because we were working in their parking lot, rubber tracks were the way to go because it avoided damaging the pavement that steel tracks would have. So in this scenario, we definitely recommend rubber tracks, and the model depends on which machine you’ll be using. In our case, we had a John Deere 35G so we used rubber with a track size of 300x52.5x86. If you’re using this machine, you can find the tracks we used on Fortis Tracks.com. We’ll also put the link in the description so definitely check it out."
