Goose Hunting 2019 - Late Season Beat Down

Late goose season is still running here in western Virginia and Jack, Drew, and I headed out to try and take advantage of that on a farm pond spot that we had been scouting. There had been about 75 Canada Geese using the pond so we setup in layout blinds along the edge in hopes of catching them coming in during the morning. The flight started earlier than expected and we were pretty much covered up in geese for the first hour of the morning. We missed quite a few opportunities due to not being ready but it still only took us 50 minutes to each shoot our 5 birds for the morning. We learned a lot about how the birds react on this pond and will put that to good use the next time we hunt it. Hope y'all enjoy!
