MY FIRST BREITLING UNBOXING - NAVITIMER B01 LEGACY EDITION

It took 20 years, but today marks the day a childhood dream of mine came true - getting my very own Breitling watch!

I saw my first Navitimer when I was 15 and ever since then I had made a personal promise to myself that one day I'd own one. The stars aligned and thanks to Sayeef and the amazing New York City Breitling Boutique team, the perfect Navitimer in this B01 Legacy Edition now rests on my wrist - and in time for my birthday too! It's an emotional milestone for me, and you can actually see me shaking in the unboxing. I'm thankful to everyone that has been alongside me for the journey so far, and beyond grateful for the opportunities that have led to this very point in time - I appreciate you all and thanks for celebrating with me!

DETAILS:
This is a special Breitling "Legacy Edition" Navitimer built to celebrate the fact that in 2014 Breitling introduced the in-house B01 Breitling movement for the first time into the 46mm diameter Navitimer case. This is also why you'll find the gold Breitling Wings logo on the top center of the dial, as well as a clear caseback (which is now actually standard on all Navitimers, but in previous years was only added to limited edition watches)

Back in late 2018 early 2019 Georges Kern the new Breitling CEO in an effort to unify the land, sea, air ethos of the brand made a decision to bring Breitling watches under the "B" logo. As a result, all new Navitimer watches sport the B logo as opposed to the Wings logo that I fell in love with all those years ago. This is one of the main reasons why I decided that this year, in 2020 of all years (and to celebrate my birthday) was the best time for me to make a childhood dream come true. The gold Wings logo, the clear caseback, and B01 in-house Breitling movement all came together to form my perfect dream watch.
