Recreating Islanders - ScreenPointToRay and Raycasting in Unity - Part 1

This is a re-release of a video from my old channel, A Digital Mind. Part of a series of Unity tutorials. In this tutorial we work through the basics of how to determine where your mouse position on the screen translates to a games 3D world space. It does assume some basic Unity background but even beginners shouldn't struggle too much.

This tutorial discusses Unity features such as:

- Raycast
- Input
- Raycasthit
- ScreenPointToRay
- Tranform.Position
- LayerMask
- GameObject

This series of video is demonstrating how to recreate the Mechanics used in the Islanders game by Grizzly Bear. A fun game available on Steam for a small sum of money.
