How to Paint a Tall Flagpole Without a Lift

When I discovered it would cost me over $700 to rent a lift I decided to go back to basics. With two extension poles and a little roller, I got it done. Yes, I probably should have sanded and primed it, but I didn't. I used an oil based enamel from Sherwin Williams that said it was good for metal railings right on the label.
