ABOUT THIS FEED:

North East, Pennsylvania, is located in Erie County, the northern most part of the state. The cams are located at the Lake Shore Railway Historical Society and Museum. More than 40 trains go through each day. CSX and NS trains run on these two lines, as well as Amtrak's "Lake Shore Limited" (train #48 eastbound and train #49 westbound), specifically on the CSX line.

The CSX line (the 2 main tracks seen in the foreground) is their Lake Shore Subdivision, and was formerly the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Railway (LS&MS), a subsidiary of the New York Central Railroad (NYC), and this formed a segment of the NYC's "Water Level Route" between New York City and Chicago.

The NS line (the single main track seen in the background) is their Lake Erie District (ex-Buffalo District), and was formerly the Nickel Plate Road's main route, between Chicago and Buffalo via Cleveland.

With the Amtrak change to a 3 day a week schedule, here are links to the adjusted timetable

Thank you J. Oliver

There is a radio feed available, listening to both CSX and NS radio traffic, on AAR channels 50 & 94 (160.860 & 161.520, IG desk dispatcher), and 76 (161.250) respectively: https://www.broadcastify.com/listen/feed/25527

There is an ATCS layout available, but only for the NS line, as CSX no longer uses radio code line (RCL). (The layout kit for download does not include an .ini file, one has to be made manually.)

When’s the next train? Yeah, we get this a lot. You can figure out the next Amtrak passenger train with this handy, link: http://bit.ly/31bn58V

There’s no schedule for freight trains, but some of our more knowledgeable members will provide real-time information when it’s available. Please refrain from asking.
