Cowboys news from head coach Brian Schottenheimer focuses on the Cowboys draft plans. He had a lengthy quote about his 2025 NFL Draft hopes, but the focus was on building from the “outside, in” - on the “money 5” positions of Quarterback, Wide Receiver, Offensive Tackle, EDGE Rusher and Cornerback. Two of those seem filled in Dallas. But keep an eye on these names in Round 1:
- Tetairoa McMillan (WR, Arizona)
- Matthew Golden (WR, Texas)
- Will Campbell (OT, LSU)
- Armand Membou (OT, Mizzouri)
- Mykel Williams (EDGE, Georgia)
- Jalon Walker (EDGE, Georgia)
- Mike Green (EDGE, Marshall)
- Will Johnson (CB, Michigan)

The Cowboys are CLEARLY in the market for WR help. Stephen Jones claimed he liked the Cowboys WR room, but wants an “explosive” WR: “I really like our room, but at the same time losing [Brandin] Cooks in free agency, we’re still open to looking at a really explosive number two that could upgrade us. But as I said, I like our room and certainly like the players we currently have.” There are two obvious names here: Tetairoa McMillan (Arizona) and Matthew Golden (Texas).

Brian Schottenheimer is hopeful that Micah Parsons will be present and not holdout without a deal: "I feel very comfortable. Micah said he's going to be around. I think that he wants to be. I think we're all very comfortable with that. And at the end of the day he's a great player and we think he's just getting started, to be honest with you. I have no question in my mind that he'll be around."

Cowboys news on the injuries for Trevon Diggs and DeMarvion Overshown are as expected, per Stephen Jones: “We don't know when we will get these players back. They have significant injuries. There's a good chance that they may not start for us when the season starts. They may not be available.”
