Malta - Epic Long Weekend | Running Half a Country

We decided to take a spontaneous trip to Malta over a long weekend in January. I set a goal to run one marathon per month for one year and unfortunately it's too cold back home. Malta has the perfect weather at this time of the year and the most beautiful towns and scenery to run through.

The food was amazing, the people were super friendly, and the views of the old towns and historic bays were fascinating. This was one of the best long weekend trips we did and we will definitely go back again.

We stayed in St. Julian’s at Hyatt Hotel. We explored mainly St. Julian’s, Sliema, and Valletta. There are several shopping places such as The Point Shopping Mall in Sliema or Bay Street Shopping Complex in St. Julian’s. We recommend taking a boat tour so you can see the bays and the costs from the sea. We also recommend that you visit Malta during the low season such as January or February. The weather is perfect, there are no many tourists, and the prices are much lower vs. peak season.
