Lithuania to Add Purchase Orders of 300 units of JLTV tactical vehicles from U.S.

The Lithuanian Ministry of National Defense Materials Agency has signed a contract with the US Government for the procurement of an additional 300 JLTV (Joint Light Tactical Vehicle) combined light tactical vehicles.
The JLTV all-terrain vehicle was modernized to have an additional turret and a 12.7mm M2 QCB machine gun. The vehicle can accommodate five crew members along with their weapons.
According to the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defense, the JLTV will strengthen the capabilities of the armed forces and also improve interoperability with US forces.
Deliveries of the new 300 JLTVs will begin in 2023 and be completed in 2024.
The JLTV is expected to provide high crew protection, and assist troops with effective reconnaissance, artillery and support operations.
This tactical vehicle, will serve the Iron Wolf and Griffin Brigades of the Lithuanian Armed Forces as well as the country's Rapid Reaction Forces.
