The Marble Arch Tube Pusher by Murder Mile

On Friday 27th April 2018, 91-year-old Sir Robert Malpas, the former CEO of Eurotunnel entered this tube station. As it was for thousands of London’s commuters, this was just an ordinary day and he was heading home. But an incident which happened just a few hours earlier would change his life forever.

At Tottenham Court Road tube station, at the opposite end of Oxford Street, 47-year-old Paul Crossley – a paranoid schizophrenic who hadn’t taken his medication and had smoked £600 of crack cocaine the night before – pushed Tobias French off the Central Line platform and onto the electrified tracks. Thankfully, being a keen sportsman; Tobias kept his balance, he didn’t fall and he wasn’t injured.

But being frustrated that his attempt to murder someone had failed, being drugged and deluded, Paul Crossley sought out an easier victim - someone who was older, frailer and more vulnerable.
