As per my opinion the movie snow white and the huntsman is better than the original fairytale because it does not show a weak female character of snow white waiting to be rescued rather she converts into a strong female ready to take things in her hand and strikes back at the evil queen.
The movie stars Kristen Stewart & Chris Hemsworth two of the most famous actors for the role of snow white and the hunts man.

precis: Queen Ravenna, an evil woman, tasks Eric, a huntsman, with murdering Snow White, her stepdaughter. Instead of killing her, he ends up becoming her protector.
