Make a weighted eye mask
In this video edited from a Facebook Live, I'll show you how to make a super speedy, super easy, weighted eye mask. These are perfect for relaxation at the end of yoga or meditation, and can be sustainably made from small fabric offcuts and rice from your Kitchen cupboard.
Whether you're a beginner or an expert stitcher, sometimes we all need a super speedy project to get back into the swing of sewing! These eye pillows make thoughtful gifts too.
For the inner "Bean Bag":-
Cut 2 rectangles that are 28cm long by 13cm high
For the outer "pillow cover":-
Cut 1 rectangle that's 28cm long by 13cm high
Cut 1 rectangle that's 24cm long by 13cm high
Cut 1 rectangle that's 12cm long by 13cm high
For beginners- use woven fabric that's nice and stable, like cotton lawn, poplin, quilt cottons and calicos.
For experienced stitchers try using jerseys, velvets, silks or any tactile feeling fabrics for the outer cover.
