Fibre type recruitment and rep ranges #Shorts

If you are lifting in the same rep range every session, your fast twitch fibres are barely working.

This is the quiet reason your training feels productive but your physique has not moved in years.

Your muscles contain two main fibre types. Type one handles light, sustained work. Type two carries most of your growth potential, but only switches on near real fatigue or with heavier loads.

Henneman's size principle shows recruitment is orderly. Light sets stopped well short of failure never reach the fibres that actually grow.

After 40, type two fibres atrophy faster than type one. Neglecting heavy loading accelerates the exact loss you are trying to prevent.

You are not undertraining your effort. You are undertraining the fibres that build the body you want.
