I have bought probably every brand of power tube there is and often been let down badly. But here I show you a secret to finding and get the best tubes or valves, safest and most long lasting valves available today.

Learn from my experience with power tubes - some fitted to amps when I bought them; some bought brand new supposedly matched; some supposedly 'burnt in' and some just plain old bad misleading valves.

Yes it IS important to know what you're buying, but to be honest, I have bought many supposedly matched tubes that were not actually matched. I have bought 'premium' tubes that again were not as described... and a multiple of other problems - even from so called brands and makers of tubes.

But there is one sure-fire way of KNOWING if your tubes are for example 'burned in' and matched properly etc. but guess what... no one ever mentions it or tells you do they? let alone shows you as I do in this video. You have to put your money up and 'trust' the supplier and possibly to be let down miserably.

Then there's the tube warranty... what a typical joke from most of them suppliers. But again with careful consideration you can get tubes with DOUBLE the warranty of other tubes (some even more expensive) just in case the tube ever did fail in service from new.

Watch the whole video because if you don't you will miss the advice I offer. Since I learned what I did I have never had a single power tube (or valve) fail. Remember a tube failure can cost you your precious tube amplifier or carry a considerable cost to get your amp fixed.

I sincerely hope that at least some of what I show does wear off on to you so that we all contribute in our own way to reducing the suppliers that don't always supply or do what they are paid to do. Buy from the people you CAN trust backed up by the actual proof on the tube when you receive it. Note its not 'always' exactly what I mention as a test, but more often than not the proof is there to see if only you know where to look!
