How to Build a Model Airplane from Plans for Newbies!

In this video I'll discuss how to build a model airplane from plans, with a focus on the newbie, someone who has never constructed a model from plans and where they can start.

I will go over a basic model airplane plan and how to read it. I will also focus on model airplane plans for balsa construction, with an emphasis on radio control planes. There is a short discussion on the history of model plans, where to purchase these plans, and an overview of some of my balsa model plans.

I discuss building the Sig Four Star 20 EP as an excellent start for someone who has never constructed a model from plans. The Sig kit is well engineered with a complete set of plans and most importantly a comprehensive illustrated photo guide. Once the Sour Star is complete you will find that building an RC model from plans is not all that difficult.
