"Clockwork" Imperium House of Dance

At Imperium we are preparing our young artists for creative roles by allowing them opportunities to explore all avenues of performance. As we have given them many experiences on stage and working with professional, highly accomplished artists, we now want to develop a keen understanding of the video art form and the complexity of creating a production.

Era: Steampunk can be defined as “where history and fantasy collide with technology”

Student assignment: Create choreography that incorporates all levels for ages 5 to 18. Senior dancers will work together to create a storyline using a steampunk aesthetic and vibe. All students will learn about the process of videography, importance of listening to direction, and working together with peers to produce a creative piece.
