Six MedSLPs are spending their Saturday teaching advanced FEES interpretation, documentation, billing, and advocacy across the NICU, SNF, acute care, and ICU.

Here's why that matters.

FEES interpretation is one of the highest-leverage clinical skills a medical SLP can develop, and real training on it is surprisingly hard to find. Most of us took the basic course, completed our supervised passes, and then... figured out the rest on our own. Advanced interpretation training is expensive, scattered, and requires being in the right place at the right time with the right mentor.

That bottleneck means advanced FEES skills stay concentrated with a small number of clinicians. And the rest of the field is left trying to advocate for something they haven't had enough exposure to fully understand.
You can't make the case to your administrator. You can't push back on a physician who defaults to VFSS. You can't build a program at your facility. Not without the interpretation skills to back the conversation up.

That's the gap this event is built to close.
