As America’s Flagship, we deliver credible presence and overwhelming lethality at the time and place of our nation’s choosing.

Our success depends on our ability to master the highest levels of leadership, tactical proficiency, and technical knowledge. We will always put our best foot forward, never forgetting that we represent our nation, our Navy and our ship. Be Ready for the Fight: Our adversaries come in various forms, ranging from competing nations to infectious diseases. Our adversaries are unrelenting. They never rest, they are always watching, and they seek to exploit any weakness. In our environment, the shift from peacetime to combat operations can happen in a heartbeat. We will never grow complacent. We will never let our guard down. We will always stand ready to answer the call. When one of us stumbles, we will pick each other up, and together, we will strive forward and go for the win.

As our nation’s only forward deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan is the cornerstone of Carrier Strike Group 5. Together with Carrier Air Wing 5, our ship-air wing team forms the most lethal fighting force in the world. We will preserve peace through strength, and should deterrence fail – we will always be ready to fight and win under any circumstance. We are “Warship 76,” and we have the watch.
