Hiking in Bulgaria to Madara Rider & Veliko Tarnovo

As we set off away from Varna we spend the first day taking in the amazing sights at the Madara Rider UNESCO World Heritage Centre in Shumen, Bulgaria. This site was so cool to see, but what was even more amazing was the hike to the very top of the mountain. It left us with the most amazing views to soak in while we enjoyed a classic Bulgarian picnic atop.

After we finished with our morning hike we headed to Veliko Tarnovo for the night and explored our Airbnb before putting our heads down and getting ready for an evening of work.

We recommend it if WiFi isn't a priority and you are looking for a quarky cool place to spend a few nights while in Veliko Tarnovo.
