Can an amateur install a power tailgate & foot sensor in a Tesla? | Install/Troubleshoot | Hannshow

This video is my journey installing the Hannshow trunk lifts. This is the second time uploading as I pulled the first upload a few hours later to add in the last section once I found out I wired it wrong.

Here is what you need to know.
1) Yes you can do this because I did it.
2) You need a lot of patience because this is just going to take some time.
3) Expect to redo things as you go. For example I didn't allow enough wire to the battery for power so I had to pull it out and try again.
4) 2019 + models have a hole in the bumper for the wiring of the foot sensor. Older models will need to remove bumper (not shown in this video).
5) You will need a 45 Torx driver and lots of electrical tape.
6) You will drill some holes in the car.
7) Most important...it's all worth it!!!
