Once you set up your Acorn account, you can invest with a few different options.

You can invest by rounding up your purchases to the closes dollar and invest your change.
For example, if you link your debit card and buy something for $16.80, .20 cents will be invested in your Acorn account.

Another option is using a recurring deposit from your bank into Acorn.

Acorn does have a monthly fee. The lite account is $1 per month. And you can upgrade from there to a personal or family account.
