►Synopsis:
In October 1938, the Japanese army captured Wuhan and marched southward, and Changsha was in danger. Xue Junshan (played by Ren Chengwei), the grandson-in-law of the Hu family in Chayuan Lane in the city, with the cooperation of his family, tried every means to arrange a retreat for the Hu family's favorite pair of twins, Xiangxiang (played by Yang Zi) and Xiaoman (played by Niu Junfeng). Xue Junshan first introduced Xiangxiang to Gu Qingming (played by Huo Jianhua), a talented soldier who returned from studying abroad to defend Changsha.
