Here we are at the last day of 2020, a day many have looked forward to with great anticipation.
There [might] be times in 2021 when you may look back at 2020 and say, “Oh, those were the good old days.” That's not a prophetic word - that's just a word of caution.
but God has good things in store – revival and outpouring of Holy Spirit as we move into this new year. In this new year there'll be some hard times but they'll also be the times that we have looked forward to and prayed for many years. We will see the Holy Spirit moving in unprecedented ways.

2021 is a year of war and triumph, of putting on the strength of God. Tell your neighbor God wants you to be clothed with strength this year, he wants you to be dressed for conquest.

We're still in the Hebrew year 5781. Revelation 2:7 says, “He who has an ear let him hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to the churches.” The Holy Spirit is speaking through his prophets. 2 Chronicles 20:20 says if we pay attention to his prophets we will prosper. We gather to receive prophetic direction for the new year. You can take the letters that make of 5781 to help understand the new year. 80 is the Hebrew letter peh, and the number one is the Hebrew letter aleph.

The earliest pictograph of the letter peh looks like a mouth and by extension can mean face. In Hebrew your face represents you. To do something before your face is to do it in your presence. God's face also represents God's presence. If you understand that God's face represents his presence that will help you understand some things in the bible. The devil has told some of you God does not like you – a [blatant] lie. The bible says God loves you so much you make his face light up. He's happy to spend time with you he wants to show you his love. Did you know that it makes God happy when you choose to spend time with him? He loves you so much that Zephaniah 3:17 says God takes great delight in you. It says he rejoices over you with singing.

Another common phrase is to seek God's face, which means to seek his manifest presence. We're always in the presence of God but sometimes we're in His MANIFEST presence. That happens when you get so close to him that his his presence becomes tangible. God wants you to seek his face this year. He wants to be face to face with you. As you seek his face he will meet with you so you can experience his blessing in the overwhelming joy of his presence.

God can also visit the world with judgment - so there are two kinds of visitation.
When a society turns decisively away from God there comes a point when he lifts his hand of protection and there's a visitation of judgment.

The coronavirus began in one small area of China and spread everywhere. Nations are in quarantine, businesses are closed, travel is canceled, the economy is in shambles. Many people are living in fear. Then, in the wake of the pandemic, waves of violence swept the United States major cities became war zones. It seemed like the whole world had gone insane.

In one year we have had wave after wave after wave of catastrophes worldwide. I believe these are an evidence of a society under judgment. God does not enjoy judgment, that's never his first choice, but he will allow catastrophes to come to motivate people to repent and turn back to him. We see that the whole way through the bible. But in the midst of catastrophes a different kind of visitation was taking place this year. In this year of visitation God is also visiting us with his Holy Spirit.
