Here it is! What we've all been waiting for!

I have a lot to say about this.

I honestly didn't even know if I could FC this song going into it. Normally when I start playing through a new game, If I think I may struggle just FCing a song in the game, I go for that song first so it's out of the way. Not with this one. This was the last FC I did in this game (beside going back and improving my scores on a few songs). I was fully expecting to be uploading a good run where I missed in the trill, but I found an incredibly good method for hitting it: THE SLIDER BAR! More on that later.

This song wouldn't actually be that hard if it were on GH3 or Clone Hero. It still wouldn't be easy, but it wouldn't be ungodly hard like it is in this game. The reason for that is the slider sections- mostly the trill from 1:26 to 1:30.

Why do the slider notes make the sections harder? Slider notes work differently from other kinds or notes. The timing windows overlap. This means that on trill sections like in this song, if you hit one of the O notes too late, it might interpret that button press as you wanting to hit the O note after the one you intended, thus skipping over 2 notes. Since the notes in this trill are so close together, it is very, very easy for this to happen. If you hit the slider notes early, that decreases the chances of you overlapping timing windows, so that is the best method for hitting slider notes regardless of pattern in this game.

This trill section is by far the hardest section to hit in the game because it feels completely random if you will miss or not. I had a very time hitting it with normal frets, but I found an old video from Marbler, the first person to get the Full Series Full Combo including Warriors of Rock (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMIpjyFfhWI), and he used the slider bar, so I figured I'd give it a shot, and holy shit it works great. It's not 100% consistent, but I was able to hit it maybe 1 in 8 tries, which was way better than I was doing with normal frets. This is the only song I've ever found the slider bar useful. I normally use a Les Paul, so I even had to switch over to a GH5tar to FC this fucking song.

I think it took me about 8 Solo D FC's in a real run to actually FC. Once I got relatively consistent at Solo D, I lost my consistency on Solo F lol. What I ended up doing was one-handing up until the GRBO section, then I tapped until the end. This gave me the best results because I could start preserving my stamina with tapping so my fingers wouldn't get tired towards the end.

I suppose this would be a good time to mention that this is 1st place, and will probably stay 1st place forever because fuck this song. Luckily, this was probably my best solo D activation I had gotten in my grind sessions. It's very hard to get full whammy from that G sustain before the trill because you need get you hands in tapping position. Hitting the G sustain early helps with this, but I'm still missing 400-600 on this activation. 419K is definitely possible, but it would be very hard, and I'm just fine with 418K haha.

I'm very happy with how well I was able to do on this game. Going into it, I expected to maybe be able to get like 20 first places. I ended up getting 50/86 1st places. Not as good as my GHWoR playthough, but still pretty fucking good. This game is a lot more optimized than WoR was, and elScarecrow is considered one of the best "new school" squeezers (GHWT+), so I'm satisfied with how I did. I had a great time playing through this game again; there's quite a few great songs in this game, and quite a few things that could only happen with tons of Activision $$$ (Like getting Tool, Eagles, Michael Jackson, all the guest characters esp. Hendrix, etc.). Hopefully the next few games aren't as bad in terms of copyright blocks on youtube.

The next game is Guitar Hero Aerosmith. I'll start uploading that game in the next few days, I don't have many filler videos this time around. I was able to get some very nice scores in that game, so stay tuned!
