[Ratio ∞] Overclock Infinite Season 8 Round 2 (Goddess of Victory: NIKKE)

Last round's Rocket Launcher restriction was way too difficult for me. It may have been possible if my Laplace and Bunny Milk were upgraded to the max, but that wasn't the case. And to be honest, I'm not feeling optimistic about the 𝚂̶𝚞̶𝚋̶𝚖̶𝚊̶𝚌̶𝚑̶𝚒̶𝚗̶𝚎̶ ̶𝙶̶𝚞̶𝚗̶ Assault Rifle restriction either. The Anniversary units won't be of any help either, since they're both Electric.

Sniper Rifle round was much easier for me to clear. It allowed for much easier team construction (Liter, Bunny Ade) and allowed me to bring Red Hood.

However, I still needed to farm for Epic Buff: Quick Magazine in order to beat this. This wasn't optional for me, and it wasn't a coincidence that I got it. I was restarting the challenge over and over again until I finally got it.

With only one exception, it was always easier to start with Bunny Milk's Burst. One of the BIOS Settings spawns Volleyballs on the field regularly. If I have Bunny Milk's Burst active, it will automatically wipe them out with Distributed Damage.

4:38 The one exception was the stage with Glasses as the Stage Target. When Glasses and Volleyballs are the only Raptures on the field, Bunny Milk's skill cannot seem to kill the Volleyballs. That's why I had to start it with Red Hood's Burst so that Bunny Milk's Burst wouldn't get misaligned.

In this season of Overclock Infinite, the bosses seem really high-tuned. Not only is their HP higher than usual but they're also accompanied by a horde of high-priority Raptures. There's virtually no way to ignore adds or block them from spawning. I just had to kill them as they spawned while trying to focus as much of my firepower on the boss as possible. Bunny Milk's Distributed Damage was a great help with clearing out the smaller adds.

Of all the Elite Raptures, Sentries provided a brief moment of respite. They didn't require immediate attention and they were easy enough to kill before they could stun someone. I could take that opportunity to focus on the boss.

The stage also spawns Elite Healer Raptures, two in particular: one at 8:09 and the other at 9:43. They start healing pretty quickly, so if they're not killed ASAP, they will undo a large chunk of damage done to the boss–as can be seen at 9:56

In addition, a WALL-E––I mean, a Waller will periodically spawn in the front. Not very tough but it will buff the boss's DEF. I judged that it wasn't a good idea to leave it be.

For C-Stage 7, I switched Summer Helm to Marciana. There wasn't a huge difference between the two, but Marciana provided a little passive healing to the team–and this boss deals a fair bit of damage consistently. The trade-off was that my Burst windows became less flexible, making it harder to destroy the Interstellar Ballistic Missile.

🎲 There was an undeniable RNG element to C-Stage 7 Boss. The boss is strong enough to kill a Nikke with two attacks. If it targeted the same Nikke consecutively, she likely died. I had a few countermeasures to alleviate the RNG, but I was still counting on favourable RNG.

If Liter, Bunny Ade or Marciana were targeted for standard attack, I needed to pull them behind cover if the second attack targeted them. That way, I could generally keep them alive (only if they had cover). Bunny Milk and Red Hood were of no consequence, since the lifesteal effect from Drain Converter heals them so fast. Eventually, Drain Converter and Marciana healed the other members too.

11:19 For the second Burst window, I went for full Red Hood combo. In particular, Red Hood's B2 taunted the boss and kept the rest of the team safe. Red Hood tanked a total of three attacks with it. The third one is stronger than usual and could've one-shotted a weaker team member.

11:28 At roughly half-way point, the boss started doing a team-wide AoE attack. It's dangerous to take on directly, so I had my team take cover from it (I counted to 4-5 in my head and then took cover). The cover absorbed the attack but was destroyed in the process.

An Elite Healer Rapture spawned around 11:56, followed by a small army of smaller healers. Needless to say, I did what I could to kill the ASAP.

If we don't count https://youtu.be/CsZT0ILL8Fg , this has been the hardest Overclock Infinite for me so far. But it's cleared now! That being said, Sniper Rifle restriction might be the only one I can clear in this season.
