سلام عليكم وعلينا سلام ،
سلام علي من رد السلام
وسلام حتي علي من لم يرد
سلام باسم الرب السلام
، رب العباد الله الصمد
Peace to you, and peace to us,
Peace to those who embrace the call,
even to those who choose a different hall
Peace in the name of God of Peace,
The Lord of His Slaves, the eternal
سلام ترعرعنا فيه
سلام معجون بأرض هذا البلد
سلام ما عاد يسكن فيه
سلام ما عدن نسكن فينا

Peace in which we grew up, peace... that's kneaded with the soil of our lands
Peace, we no longer live in
Peace that no longer lives within us
سلام نراقبه
وهو يحزم حقائبه
ليهجز رويدا رويدا أراضينا
ويحُل مكانه تسليم.... واستسلام
The peace that we see...
As it packs its bags to leave our lands,
slowly, and gradually to be replaced by surrender and conformity...

أتدرون لما يهاجر منا السلام
أتدرون لما يعم فينا الظلام
Should I tell you why peace left us?
Should I tell you why we're consumed with darkness?
Simply, because we are a fearful society
نحن مجتمع يخاف الأختلاف
We are a society that fears diversity

كلماتي لن تعجب بعضكم أو جلكم أو كلكم ،
أعرف لكني سأقولها لأني
رافض أن اكون من الخراف

My words might offend some of you,
Or most of you
Or, all of you
I know!
But I will say what has to be said because I refuse to be a blind follower

نحن مجتمع يرفض الاعتراف
ويدعي انه يحمل لفكر مختلف !
فقبول الأختلاف عندنا ليس إلا غلاف
We are a society that refuses to admit reality,
Claiming to carry a different thought
We embrace diversity only as masks
اختلاف اللون يؤذينا ، اختلاف
الشكل يؤذينا ، اختلاف الفكر
يؤذينا ، اختلاف الدين يؤذينا ،
حتي اختلاف الجنس يؤذينا
We are offended by the difference of colour, type, looks, thoughts, and religion. Even the difference of gender offends us
In trying to kill what makes us unique
we've turned into poison
made each other weak

نتنازع علي التفاهات والتراهات والخرافات
ونرفض دائماً أن نغوص في العمق
We dispute over trivialities, exaggerations, and superstitions, and consistently refuse to dive deep into what matters
ولا أبرئ أحداً لا مدنيين ولا ساساة ،
I don’t absolve anyone
Neither civilians nor politicians
لا من يستكين لبلادة الصمت ، ولا من

يدعي فينا القداسة و لا من يتبع الغرب كالأعمي
I am not acquitting anyone who is calm in the dull quietness
Neither the ones who claim be holy
Nor the ones who blindly follow the West

دعونا اليوم نجرب أن نغوص فينا في أعماقنا..
Let us today try to dive inside ourselves,
Let us embrace our souls, embrace the diversity within our souls

ها أنا أمامكم بلوني بشَعري
بشعريِ بأطواري بأفكاري ، أنا لا
أخافكم ، أنا لا أخاف اختلافكم
عني ؛ لأنني منكم ولأنكم مني

Here I am,
In front of you
With my colour,
with my hair,
With my poems,
And with my whimsical thoughts
I am not afraid of you
I am not afraid of your differences over me
Because I am of you
And you are of me
دعونا نخلق فن ، دعونا نغوص في الحلم
دعونا نذوب الأعراف والأجناس
والأطياف والأفكار والألوان ...والاديان
ولا نرى سوي الانسان
Let’s create an art,
Of diving into the dreams,
The art of building a culture immune of ridicule,
An art of retaining originality within ourselves

Let us dissolve races, spectres, thoughts, colours, creeds, and casts
So we see nothing of ourselves, just the humans, that we are.
