Imagine having a friend who knows everything about every story ever told. You can ask them anything, and they'll give you the perfect answer. That's pretty much what a Large Language Model, or LLM, does.

Think about when you ask your parents or teachers a question, and they explain things to you. An LLM does the same thing, but it's a computer program. It's like having a virtual friend who's always ready to help with homework or tell you a cool story.

Now, usually, these LLMs are big fancy computers that run on GPUs in another corner of the world. They are mammoth in size and take up vast spaces for smooth operations. You can't possibly store it in your house, not unless you have acres of land to spare and the know-how to run LLMs.

But you can definitely build one right on your own computer and use it as your own personal helper!
