Serena Williams put a sporty twist on her red carpet look at the Met Gala red carpet on Monday.

The 37-year-old beauty was a complete stand-out when she arrived with husband Alexis Ohanian in a striking Versace ensemble.

And while Serena was as glam as can be in her gorgeous dress, she teamed the look with a pair of comfortable Nike sneakers.

Serena will be chairing tonight's event along with Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, Gucci designer, Alessandro Michele, Vogue editor, Anna Wintour.

Her neon dress featured pink and yellow butterflies and leaves intricately stitched on the bodice.

Her dress was cinched in at the waist before flaring out into a large skirt with an accompanying train.

The back of the gorgeous frock had a cross strap design for extra security

The tennis star's kicks were part of the Air Force range and the neon yellow color complimented the dress.

Serena kept her accessories and minimal for the evening, to ensure all eyes were on her dress.

A pair of diamond encrusted drop earrings, a large ring and a diamond watch, completed her look.
