Saw a lot of wildlife hiking off-trail in Lamar - Yellowstone National Park
This is an early June, 2020 (In the video I said early May but you can tell by the vegetation and lack of snow that it is not May, sorry for the mistake) hike in the Lamar area off-trail. You can always see a lot of wildlife in this area including bears. In fact I have never done this hike without seeing at least one bear. On this hike I saw one black bear. You also have a good chance to see grizzly bears especially in the open flat areas. Please always take bear spray. This area also has a lot of research projects and closed areas so watch for park service signs that restrict access.
