"Mine" is the lead track and single from
Taylor Swift's 2010 album release, Speak Now. The single reached third in the Billboard Top 200 in its opening week, along with the rest of the album getting into the chart that week. The album sold over a million copies in its first week, nearly double that of her previous record, Fearless, which was also hugely successful. The Speak Now Tour sold out almost every show, earning more than $40 million in only her second American tour.

The song uses a soft intro using the same chords as the verse. The song progressively builds during the pre-chorus towards the explosive chorus. The bridge/breakdown also builds slowly back to the strong chorus that finishes the song. The track uses anticipating, or playing the chord just before the listener would expect it to.
