The James Gang's quirky, entertaining debut album.

This original lineup featured Tom Kriss on bass. He left the band
after this album . . . and, not to slight Dale Peters, but Kriss' amazing bass was missed on subsequent albums.

Yer Album features a number of covers . . . most notably "Bluebird." For my money, this is one of those very rare cover versions that only passes the original, it laps it. Joe Walsh makes
Bluebird his own.

There is so much fun to be had here . . . Walsh's talent and bright future are obvious. The rhythm section of Kriss and Fox are rock solid and Kriss never takes the easy way out on bass.

I like the front cover picture of Joe Walsh - he looks so young and innocent, before all those years of hard living got piled on.

I personally love all the little silly things going on, the little intro blurbs, etc. The album includes a locked groove at the end of each side. At the end of Side One it says "turn me over," and "play me again" at the end of Side Two. Unfortunately with an automatic turntable the arm lifts before the locked groove plays, and I couldn't make it play without damaging my turntable, so the locked grooves are not a part of this upload.

The very first pressings of this album were issued on Bluesway Records. Bluesway was an imprint of ABC Records, that was folded in 1970. It was briefly revived in 1973-74. It's assets were
sold, along with the rest of ABC Records, to MCA in 1978.

The visual is Me rambling on about . . . numbers, small objects. subatomic particles, and other stuff, mostly number-centric.
