Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) Howard Stark Accidentally Predicted Hydra’s Dumbest Attack

One of the funniest bits of accidental foreshadowing in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) happens when Howard Stark gives Steve Rogers the Vibranium shield and jokes that Hydra probably won’t attack him with a pocket knife. Then near the end of the movie, a Hydra agent literally tries attacking Captain America with a tiny knife anyway like he completely ignored Howard’s warning.

What makes it even funnier is imagining some Hydra supervisor in the background seriously approving that plan. Captain America is standing there with an indestructible Vibranium shield, enhanced super-soldier strength, and combat training… and somebody still thought, “You know what would work? Small knife.” That level of confidence honestly deserves respect at that point.

Hydra had laser weapons, tanks, advanced technology, and literal super-science… yet one guy still chose the pocket knife strategy.
