Living After a Death in the Family

This is the video that nobody should ever have to make. A parent should never have to bury their child. A child with so much life, light, and potential should never leave this earth after just 20 years. Unfortunately it happens and we are devastated that it has happened to our family. August 15, 2020 we lost our beloved son and brother, Reece. Time feels as if it is moving at a snails pace all of a sudden. All of the things that we felt were so important last week, in an instant became frivolous and unnecessary.

This video is part of our healing as we share some of our most vulnerable moments with the world. We ask that you be respectful of us and how we are moving through the grieving process. This is a life event that I never wanted to experience and in truth, I wish I could just wake up from this horrible nightmare.

As we have watched our old YouTube videos, we have found so much peace and solace. We love catching glimpses of Reece smiling and making us laugh. As weird as it may seem, it has been very therapeutic to make this video as we honor the close of Reece's life. I publish this video publicly with the hope that possibly it will make a difference in the lives of someone else, and give even more meaning to Reece's premature death. If this video encourages one mama to hug their child one extra time, then this video has done it's job. If this video can help another grieving family get through the loss of their child, then this video has done it's job. If this video can help someone see the pain a family goes through after a suicide, and they decide to get help instead, then I will make a 1000 videos just like this. I never want anyone else to ever have to suffer through this kind of pain.

We love adventure and living our lives to the fullest! At the end of our lives, we would love to have a life worth reading about. We started our "Good Story" by selling most everything and traveling the U.S. in our "tiny house" RV for a year.

After our RV trip we lived in the Dominican Republic doing humanitarian work for a year. We pledged a year of our life to serve human trafficking survivors. It was an amazing experience and we learned so much.

We took an amazing three month trip to Thailand.

We then came home and felt a little lost and didn't know how to move forward in meaningful ways....we took a year and a half hiatus from really being intention about our story. Now we are back, we are dreaming and we are creating again! We are glad you are here with on our journey!
