Variations on a Theme by Carl Miner

I have been intrigued with the haunting melody from Carl Miner's demo video of a Huss & Dalton OM: https://youtu.be/eDeGtJY1g3A I was so intrigued that I sat down at the computer with a guitar to figure out how Carl was playing this piece. As I experimented around with this, I first used my Collings OM1ADB because it is closest in sound to the Huss & Dalton OM that Carl was playing in the demo. After that I tried other guitars I own and found that it was fun to compare the sounds. In this video I compare my Collings OM1ADB, my Santa Cruz OM/PW, and an Olson SJ. I hope you enjoy both this beautiful melody and the comparison of the guitars. By the way, Carl Miner is a world-class studio musician and flat picker, while I am just an amateur, playing this song with my fingers. I do not compare my playing to Carl Miner's, I just wanted to borrow his beautiful theme. Thanks for listening and hats off to Carl Miner and his terrific demos for TNAG. - Glenn
