🖐️ MEDIAN NERVE — The Nerve of Precision & Hand Function

The median nerve is one of the major nerves of the upper limb arising from the brachial plexus (C5–T1). It supplies most of the flexor muscles of the forearm and controls important hand movements and sensation.

✨ Key Functions of the Median Nerve: ✔️ Wrist & finger flexion
✔️ Thumb opposition and fine motor control
✔️ Forearm pronation
✔️ Sensation to the thumb, index, middle & part of ring finger

📚 Clinical Importance: • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
• Median nerve compression
• Thenar muscle weakness
• Difficulty in gripping objects
• Numbness & tingling in the hand

⚠️ Common Signs: • Ape thumb deformity
• Loss of thumb opposition
• Weak grip strength
• Sensory loss in lateral palm

💪 Physiotherapy helps improve nerve mobility, hand strength, coordination, flexibility, and functional recovery.
