Darkroom Winch / Topshit Photography #107

In this vlog I’m introducing a darkroom winch. My friend Oto Žan has an MA in engineering and he’s an expert in 3D printing. I’ve described him my wish, to have a darkroom winch that will rock my trays during processing prints. It took some time to test different solutions and this version of the darkroom winch proved to be the best one. It’s powerful enough to rock a big tray with 10 litres of water inside. More then enough. If it’s too much of the weight the wheel just slips and no harm done to the electric motor. The best part is that you can hack the winch and program it to change its speed and the height of the lift. It has two years of warranty.
