The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is a church in the Christian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem, Israel
Tradition that dates back 4th Century says it's the site where Jesus was crucified at a place known as Calvary or Golgotha.
Inside the Church, there is an empty tomb where Jesus was buried and resurrected.
Most Christians may ask, " why inside the city gates?" My question to you is, during the time of Jesus crucifixion, was this place inside the city or outside?
Bear in mind that Jerusalem was destroyed twice and rebuilt.
