Amazing project of introducing jackals into an urban area. They are wild and completely free to move. they are not in the zoo or behind the fence. Jackals control the rodent population. They are not aggressive, and they carefully avoid humans or dogs. Even if they are in big number, they are not treating humans or dogs. They are shy and behave like foxes in the pack. Occasionally, they find food between public waist.
I slept two nights on the bench in public city park with jackals all around. They are not like wild dogs but more like big squirrels. The only problem for one who wants to sleep on the bench in the park with jackals is that jackals love to sing at night and sing a lot and loud. But for me this is cute.
