However, after missing out on the Scudetto for the first time in a decade, and having failed to make it past the Champions League quarter-finals since 2017, the Old Lady’s standing among Europe’s elite is at its weakest since the late 2000s.

Nevertheless, what they achieved during the 2010s was undoubtedly remarkable – no club had ever dominated the Italian top flight so consistently, while they went toe to toe with some of Barcelona and Real Madrid’s greatest ever sides in Europe.
