Alternate lead/backing vocals.

In 1983 Gus Dudgeon spent five weeks in DJM studios remixing 12 Elton John songs from the original multitracks for a forthcoming compilation album. According to a fanzine, Gus later stated that he didn't like the results of the remastering, which was due to equipment problems and lack of studio time. (Apparently he had to do some of the mixing in mono due to a blown speaker!). Therefore, to the keen Elton fan, these classic songs are ever so slightly different. Some more than others. The compilation, cheesily titled "The Superior Sound..." was released in Europe in 1984 and now long deleted and quite rare. Gus returned to the studio a decade later to fully remaster the Elton albums as intended. Comments are welcome!
