Unification, Division, and Reunification of Germany
A lot has happened in Germany's recent history. From a collection of independent states, German became a unified country in 1871, was divided by the Allied Powers in the aftermath of WWII, and then finally, after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, Germany became the country that it is today.
