How to rescue a High Speed Train!

As part of a training exercise during the downtime, King's Cross station pilot, DB Schenker Class 67, 67024, was brought over to the front of recently arrived Virgin Trains East Coast Class 43, 43257, to carry out the procedure used in rescuing a failed HST set. This isn't a full procedure as Jumper cables that allow the Class 67 to control the brakes of the HST weren't connected, but it did give a very interesting insight into how when the HST goes wrong, the situation can be saved!

Enjoy!
