"If we waited around for a prophecy to make us special, We'd die waiting"

Recently, I had a newfound appreciation for modern animated series. Gravity falls, Amphibia, being on the top parts of my list, and then there is a show that hit me with such magnitude I fell in love with it to the highest degree. That show being "The Owl House" The series is highly praised for its writing, animation, and representation. Evident in its strong relevance today.

As the finale to my Epic Orchestral trilogy of animated series, I wanted to give this medley the highest degree of justice I could to honour those who have worked with passion to bring life to this truly amazing series. I wanted to bring out everything Misairu's Orchestral Forces could muster.

[ SPOILERS ]

Prologue Overture:
The overture begins in a way that I used to do compositions back in the day, a sudden and explosive grand opening of the entire orchestra, synths, and a large choir. Ending with a motif from the main theme. It then transitions with dark ominous chanting.

Act 1 - Opening Theme:
Drums and synths are performed which signals a roaring entrance of brass, strings, and choir. This is followed by a drum solo with a glockenspiel prelude. The Orchestra roars once more and the main theme is played in full force. Brass sections then take over, then a large choir. This part ends with an explosive staccato of trumpets and chants.

Act 2 - Emperor Belos Theme:
This theme emulates the traits of the show's antagonist, Mysterious, Cunning, and Ruthless. This is an orchestra that plays with an organ with dark undertones everywhere.

Act 3 - Golden Guard VS. Kikimora
An intense theme that is not talked about by a lot of fans. I decided to go for a similar approach to the original with big drums, fast strings, and gritty brass, All while adding a little more to it.

Act 4 - Enchanting Grom Fright
The piece took a while to complete due to its complex nature. It's heavily rhythmic with influence from waltz music. I went with high strings and brass for the bass. For the latter parts of this piece, The Owl House's opening theme can be heard in a dramatic fashion. It ends with a mellow motif of the ending theme.

Act 5 - Amity VS. Hunter
Utilized in this part is something I never attempted before. I wanted to use "Big Band Brass" the same ones used in Jazz music. The end result was a rhythmically intense, movement-filled vibe with all the shakey trumpets.

Act 6 - Eda's Requiem / Raine's Rhapsody
The two lead instruments I used are a Cello and a Guzheng, The piece itself is a fusion of western and eastern influences. Faster rhythmically at first but slows down while concluding with a trailer-style ending.

Act 7 - Sneaking into People's Hearts (My personal Favourite)
I went more mellow rather than loud for this one as it is very special. It begins with some subtle strings and pads eventually leading to a piano with strings. I wanted to give this a melancholy vibe but done naturally, with the part sounding more light in theme as it progresses (Much like Luz's and Amity's relationship in the show ♥)

Act 8 - Ending Theme
The piece begins with a grand opening. The chords are played in a way that I like to use often, a rundown of the bass note. This is followed by an upbeat melody and drums. Breaks into brass for one moment and the key changes to sound more inspiring. This too gets a trailer-style finish with big drums and trumpets.

Finale - Trilogy
"A symphony must be like the world. It must contain everything." - Gustav Mahler
I always remember this as I make the finale, an ending to the grand trilogy. It starts off with intense drums and rock guitars. Brass play the main theme with a Jet engine revving up. Eda's requiem is played by a gritty synth and then the main theme is played by the orchestra and an electric guitar. It's not done! We hear Grom one more time before the choir comes in and ends the theme.

The final segment is a beautiful, grand, melancholy, rendition of the ending theme, merged with the Gravity falls theme and Anne''s theme from Amphibia as one Final salute.
