HORIZON is a mod that completely overhauls most of the gameplay in Fallout 4. The mod makes thousands of changes to thousands of aspects of the game, effectively turning it into Fallout 4.5.

1. While SPECIAL remains the same, the perk system is completely different. Horizon uses a hybrid system where you must invest perk points into your skill to level them up, but you also need to use those skills in order to keep increasing their effectiveness.

2. Upgrading weapons and armor, and indeed all crafting are completely different to vanilla Fallout 4.

3. When you take down animals, you must HARVEST the remains to get meat.

4. When you take down raiders, gunners, scrappers, etc., you can break down their equipment into it's components before you even pick it up.

5. When you take down robots, you can break them down for parts.

6. Settlements are completely different now. A lot of production can be automated, but you will come to depend on that production of for example food, water, and oil, in order to survive.

7. Your companions level up as they spend more time with you, and each level makes them more effective in combat. They also get weapons unique only to them.

8. You can build "cloaked" cargo bots to help you carry your stuff, massively increasing your carry weight. You can also summon Wilson to take you extra gear and junk back to your settlement.

9. Farming is automated. Place down your crop rows, and you immediately start producing food. No need to assign a settler!

10. Settlers are automated. When they show up, if you have a shopping kiosk, guard tower, research station, or other slot available, they'll automatically assign themselves to it. No more need to talk to people!

11. Buy from Arturo, K.L.E.O., Cricket, and most other vendors right from the production station of your workshop!

There are thousands of other ways Horizon modifies Fallout 4, making it feel like a completely different game and vastly increasing immersion. I hope you enjoy this series and I hope you'll check out Horizon on your own some time.
