Recreating my favorite 18th Century museum gown as a modern spring dress (Part 2: Sewing the Dress)
Hey there, welcome to my latest sewing experiment. The test here was: once I had a fairly historically-accurate 18th century pattern, how far could I modernize and streamline the sewing process, while still coming up with a result that still felt acceptably historical to me? This video is a part 2 of 2. Making the dress, I wound up with a lot of useful, interesting footage, and I didn’t want to skimp on anything good. So I split the project into two videos. This one focuses on the custom printed fabric, the sewing process, and the final result. The previous video, linked below, detailed the original dress I was basing my pattern on, and the complete patterning process.
