(EN) Barcelona Gipsy balKan Orchestra (BGKO) continues with its personal commitment in 2023, presenting “Tisom Tiše”, a new original song in collaboration with Iva Knežević, who also wrote the lyrics.
.
The lyrics are about a young woman, in love and full of hope. She has just bought gold thread to embroider her fiancé's name on the towel, as a sign of her eternal love. But her whole world collapses when she finds out that her lover is leaving in the arms of another girl.
.
As she realizes that she cannot influence fate, instead of despairing, she decides to celebrate life, with songs, dances and violin, as it has always been done in the Balkans. And the more difficult it is, then you sing, because sadness is cured with music.
.
The song is inspired by the Vojvodina plain, its landscapes, calm rivers. The text of the song is full of symbolism of customs, and the melody evokes summer nights in the salash, accompanied by light notes of chardas.

The single is accompanied by a video shot by Branka Glavonjic & Marko Djukic (Brama) at Salaš 137, a unique salash in the town of Čenej, near Novi Sad, where BGKO joined the Serbian tamburaši, as if they were playing it in the kafanas.
.
In the video, we can also enjoy images of the sold out performance of BGKO in June 2022 at the "Garden Sessions" of the "Jevremovac" Botanical Garden in Belgrade.

(ES) La Barcelona Gipsy balKan Orchestra (BGKO) continúa con su apuesta personal en este 2023, presentando “Tisom Tiše”, un nuevo tema original en colaboración con Iva Knežević, que también es autora de la letra.

La letra versa sobre una joven, enamorada y llena de esperanza. Acaba de comprar hilo de oro para bordar el nombre de su prometido en la toalla, como señal de su amor eterno. Pero todo su mundo se derrumba cuando descubre que su amado se va en brazos de otra chica.
.
Al darse cuenta de que no puede influir en el destino, en lugar de desesperarse, decide celebrar la vida, con canciones, bailes y violín, como siempre se ha hecho en los Balcanes. Y cuando es más difícil, cantas, porque la tristeza se cura con música.
.
La canción está inspirada en la llanura de Vojvodina, sus paisajes, ríos tranquilos. El texto de la canción está lleno de simbolismo de costumbres, y la melodía evoca las noches de verano en los salash, acompañadas con ligeras notas de chardas.

El single viene acompañado de un video grabado por Branka Glavonjic & Marko Djukic (Brama) en Salaš 137, un salash único en la localidad de Čenej cerca de Novi Sad, donde la BGKO se unió a los tamburaši de Serbia, como si la estuvieran tocando en los kafanas.

En el video también podemos disfrutar de imágenes de la actuación de la BGKO en junio de 2022 en las “Garden Sessions” del Jardín Botánico "Jevremovac" en Belgrado, con localidades agotadas.
